Slender Debs checking in & hoping that you have all had a fantabulous weekend! The weather in JHB has been heavenly and I have to share with you all ……
NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS SLIM FEELS!!!
It was so amazing to put on my bikini and catch some rays this weekend and be able to do this with absolute confidence – no hiding under t- shirts & wraps!
So, if you would like to have these results, I urge & encourage you to stay committed & focused until you get there. You are worth it and BOY it sure feels GOOOOOD!

THIS is what can be achieved in 3 months with focus & determination …. & SLENDER WONDER!
You have all taken, or are about to take the decision & action to “do SOMETHING” to change your uncomfortable, overweight state. You are all at different stages on your journey, to lose the excess weight that has been weighing you down, physically, mentally & spiritually for varying periods of time. You are however all doing this for the same reason – YOU HAVE HAD ENOUGH & IT IS TIME!
I found as I got into the “teeth” of the Slender Challenge & the “hype” wore off, reality set in and some days were undoubtedly more difficult than others. I remember that for some of us “older” contestants, who have “battled the weight loss demons” for longer, it was especially difficult and feelings of “here we go again” & self doubt from previous experiences started to creep in.
For me, the science of HOW this program works, together with the information I researched on the internet & was given by Skin Renewal at the start of the Challenge, created certain expectations. I came to understand however, that some of these expectations were completely unrealistic & that there were other factors which were also influencing my weight loss outcomes.
The Slender Challenge was foremost in my thoughts all day, every day & even in my dreams at night! I became so focused on every gram lost, and any grams gained were ….. disheartening to say the least!
And then 1 day, sitting outside on the patio, enjoying the beautiful spring day, I had a mental break through! I had become so “obsessed” with the scale, grams & cms & had been holding on so tight to the end goal, that I had completely missed the fun, excitement & achievements of the journey so far.
At the time of any loss (and that could be as little as 100g!) I was elated, but the minute I didn’t lose or the scale didn’t move I completely forgot about the success and allowed myself to focus on the “negative”.
I got to pondering……….WHY is it that it seems to be so easy to focus and “nurture” the negatives and yet we battle to do the same for the positives?? Surely it would be more uplifting & empowering to do things the other way around? Hmmmmm……… NEW CHOICES TO BE MADE!
Insights gained
Since the day I was born my life has been a journey of many experiences, many good but there have also been the bad. Have I survived them all …. YES. The Slender Wonder Program was part of my journey going forward to a lighter, slimmer, healthier me. The overweight me was also part of my journey, yet I NEVER stressed while enjoying the behaviors that got me to the overweight place, so Why, WHy, WHY stress so over the change in behaviors that would get me to a healthier, slimmer me?
Doesn’t make sense does it!
So I made a CHOICE, there & then that IMMEDIATELY, I would start to take life lightly, celebrate the successes, embrace the negatives & learn from them & ENJOY THE JOURNEY! I released the tight hold I had on the end goal weight & replaced it with the self confident knowledge & self belief that I could & WOULD get there. By letting go of that tight hold, I believe I let go of the weight too and opened my head, heart & soul to endless possibilities with fun, love, lightness & laughter along the way
