Yard by yard is hard, BUT inch by inch is a CINCH!
Hi to all the Super Slender Wonder Slimmers!
Wow! Another week has flown by and the weekend is around the corner! I have been so fortunate to be in Guinjata Bay in Mozambique this week. The weather has been glorious and once again the time, effort, focus and commitment I put in over the 3 months it took me to lose my 18kgs has paid off in more ways than I could imagine. Sure, there is the “outward” benefit of being able to wear a bikini with confidence, short, shorts and t-shirts and pretty, strappy dresses but more importantly for me is the way I FEEL! It feels SO GOOD to feel lighter, sexier, healthier, smilier and more confident – I have met some really lovely people and have had such a fun time …… & all because I FEEL confident & happy about the way I look!
WOW!!!! Slender Wonder really has given me my life back and helped me become the happy, joyful, confident person I was meant to be ……. THE KIND OF PERSON WE WERE ALL BORN TO BE!
It is important that as you start out on this weight loss journey, you set yourself definite goals. Make sure they are realistic and attainable otherwise you only set yourself up for disappointment and ultimately failure. It might seem like Table Mountain to climb when you start, so it’s important to have short term goals as well as a long term goal in mind.
1. What you would like to achieve and by when. This is your long term goal of how much weight you want to lose and what your final goal weight will be. It is important that you set yourself a realistic time frame though and not leave this open ended – “I will get there sometime” “it will happen someday”. This just leaves the back door wide open for you to cheat because then it’s “Oh well, we’ll start again tomorrow”. You want to see consistent results as quickly as possible, which will motivate you and keep you focused.
2. Set yourself short term goals and milestones that you would like to achieve along the way. As you achieve these seemingly small triumphs along the journey, they will lift and inspire you to keep going towards that ultimate long term goal.
a. Having to wear a belt / your belt moving up a notch.
b. Wearing a t-shirt instead of a loose blouse/shirt
c. Tucking you shirt/t-shirt IN instead of wearing it over.
d. Wearing a shirt/ pants/skirt that have been hiding in your cupboard because it was too SMALL! Now, it fits!!!
e. Jewellery that has become looser ( watch, rings etc)
f. Zipping/buttoning a jersey/jacket rather than leaving it open
These are all HOOHAH! moments – moments to be enjoyed, celebrated and treasured – all small triumphs to be remembered as the stepping stones to your successful weight loss and your journey to a healthy, slim, confident YOU!
Take the time to sit down and write theses short & long term goals down – it helps to embed them into your sub conscious and you can give it to someone you trust to hold you accountable …. Or just stick them on the fridge door/ your mirror/ your computer as a reminder of what you started out to achieve and your commitment to yourself.
I found on MY weight loss journey that acknowledging the improvements and milestones along the way kept me on track and validated that the program was working! After all “How do you eat a big elephant? 1 bite at a time!” So, be kind but firm with yourself and accept that this may take a little time, but I can assure you, there are many victories to enjoy along the way!
So the weekend is upon us and I am now off to the beachJ J. Remember, with a little planning & prep & personal focus and commitment, you too can have a fabulous, successful weight loss weekend!
I am here to support and encourage you and I AM living proof that IT CAN be done! I understand the frustrations & challenges & also know of the joys & confidence that grow from each small triumph – I UNDERSTAND and would love nothing more than to help you get where YOU want to be.

Who would you rather climb the mountain with?
With someone who has already climbed it, or someone who wrote the book?
Slender Debs wishing you al a wonderful weekend and I will catch up with you again next week! Xxx
